Nick Shevelyov is the Chief Security Officer at Silicon Valley Bank (SVB). Areas of responsibility include Cyber Security, Data Privacy, Governance, Risk and Compliance and regulatory compliance in these areas. Previously Nick was the Chief Information Officer implementing Microsoft Office 365, Software Defined Wide Area Networking, Identity and Access Management and Production Disaster Recovery, implementing a cloud first strategy. In his prior role, Nick was the Chief Security Officer at SVB for 11 years leading Cyber Security Engineering and Operations. Prior to joining SVB, Nick managed Security and Data Privacy projects at Deloitte where he specialized in the technology and financial services industries. During his time in consulting, projects included developing security, risk and privacy programs as well as global credit card processing strategies. Earlier, Nick managed information technology departments and consulted on information security related projects with government entities and private industry organizations focused on mergers and acquisitions, specializing in attack and penetration work. Nick has been a guest speaker a variety of industry events and holds the CISSP, CIPP, CISM and an MBA.
